"My astrologer, Moonrabbit, has known my husband and I since we first did a compatibility consultation with her 17 years ago. At that time she predicted major changes in both our lives, but said we had sufficient romance and communication to maintain stability between us. All of that has proven to be true. She also told me then that I would be working with a lot of children, which at the time seemed impossible. Now I am employed with a school district and work with a lot of children! Every few years we request a general forecast from her, and her accuracy has been virtually 100%, even when we doubt her! My husband scoffs at astrology in general, but even he acknowledges that Moon has a unique talent for integrating astrology with her understanding of people to yield highly accurate and helpful readings." –C.J. in Boulder, CO Newsletter Archive |
Newsletter – January 20, 2009 Hello! Watching the inauguration today I was struck with the serious approach our new President took as he spoke about the future and laid the groundwork for his administration. Looking at his inauguration chart shows a different picture. But first let me set the stage by telling you about the inaugural charts of the last two presidents. Bill Clintons' chart showed one major contact with the planet Jupiter, symbolizing opportunity and relative good fortune. This contact was the inaugural Jupiter contacting his natal Venus. Venus is tied to money, relationships and the arts, and during the eight years he was in office we came to enjoy a prosperous economic bubble and a time of expansion in the arts. The inaugural chart also had Mars, the planet of strife in a difficult relationship to the same Venus, the relationship planet. His second term was marked by a relationship scandal. George W. Bushs' inaugural chart shows an emphasis on Mars and Uranus; two planets of sudden, unpredictable conflicts. When Mr. Bush took office he was unable to know the role Sept 11, 1991 would play in his administration; nor could he imagine the length of the war in Iraq. The planet Neptune is also strong, and Neptune is the planet of disappointment and disillusionment. Whether he is disappointed or not, certainly that emotion has been playing out in the lives of the American People. Today's chart shows its own story. Pallas Athena is highlighted; she is the planet of creative intelligence. Pallas is conjunct the Moon in Obama's chart. Her role in ancient Greece, though she was a warrior Goddess, was of consistently outsmarting her enemy. She brought in a long reign of peace during which the arts flourished. Jupiter connects very strongly with Obama's chart, indicating a time of hope, of idealism and opportunity. With Jupiter problems emerge because of overextension. President Obama seems to be a shrewd and grounded thinker. It appears to me that we are on the cusp of a new social and political movement, and today's chart with its emphasis in Aquarius, the sign of new ideas and technologies, and positive connections to our new President supports that idea. My best wishes to all of you during the coming times. —Moon About | Services | Newsletter | Contact | |
