"My astrologer, Moonrabbit, has known my husband and I since we first did a compatibility consultation with her 17 years ago. At that time she predicted major changes in both our lives, but said we had sufficient romance and communication to maintain stability between us. All of that has proven to be true. She also told me then that I would be working with a lot of children, which at the time seemed impossible. Now I am employed with a school district and work with a lot of children! Every few years we request a general forecast from her, and her accuracy has been virtually 100%, even when we doubt her! My husband scoffs at astrology in general, but even he acknowledges that Moon has a unique talent for integrating astrology with her understanding of people to yield highly accurate and helpful readings." –C.J. in Boulder, CO |
Newsletter – Fall 2007 ASTROLOGICAL UPDATE In the first two weeks of September Saturn entered Virgo, there was a solar eclipse in Virgo, and Venus turned direct in Leo. The combination of these astrological events has contributed to change, upheaval and trauma, starting with the bridge collapse at 35W and including floods in Minnesota and hurricanes and bad weather in many parts of the country. The collapse of 35W happened during a Saturn-Neptune opposition, and even more specifically under a major trigger of the Solar Eclipse. For the last year and half Saturn and Neptune have been in opposition; the powers of structure, infrastructure and government (Saturn) at war with the “great dissolver” and planet of deception and disappointment (Neptune). Neptune has the oceanic power to dissolve and wear away the strongest of structures. Disappointment in the government and the wearing down of apparently strong physical structures is a perfect fit with the opposition of these two planets. This Solar Eclipse at 18 degrees Virgo is traveling with an opposition from Uranus in Pisces. Uranus is well known for accidents and is associated with “shattering” and “breakdowns” of all kinds. On August first, the Moon, which in eclipse cycles often sets things in motion, was at 18 degrees Pisces, activating the eclipse. All individuals with planets or points in their charts around the middle degrees of Virgo, Gemini, Sagittarius, and Pisces are extremely influenced by this eclipse. During the last week of October both Jupiter and Venus will trigger the eclipse point and that will finalize the cycle. Saturn will travel through Virgo for the next two and half years. Virgo, symbolized by the Corn Goddess, is connected to the harvest, crops, agriculture, health and illness, and food safety. Saturn places limits and forces restructuring of these very key and critical parts of life. Saturn in Virgo could bring problems with certain crops, problems within the agricultural mainstream, and a restructuring of the food safety industry in this country and abroad. Saturn’s desire for perfection could bring increased support for organic farmers and buying local, fresh produce. Because Virgo also symbolizes “the worker”, the possibility of higher unemployment rates seems to increase over the next two years. Venus in Leo turning direct is good news for all relationships, bringing a more relaxed and easy enjoyment of life’s pleasures with the people we love. On October 12 until November 1st Mercury will make its final retrograde movement for 2007. Expect the usual miscommunications and technological mix-ups to be heightened during that last week of October when the Virgo Eclipse is activated one last time. CLASSES UPDATE LEVEL ONE:
